Katsuya Terada has been nominated for Best Painter/Multimedia Artist (interior art) for The Monkey King Volume 2.

The 40th annual Angouleme International Comics Festival has announced the nominees for four categories: Best Comic, Best Heritage Comic, Best Youth Comic, and Best Crime Comic.
Three manga titles have been nominated for Best Comic: Mari Yamazaki’s Thermae Romae, Atsushi Kaneko’s SOIL, and Kengo Hanazawa’s I am a Hero.
Kanata Konami’s Chi’s Sweet Home is nominated for Best Youth Comic. Yukinobu Hoshino’s 2001 Nights and George Akiyama’s Anjin San are nominated for the Best Heritage Comic award.
The Angouleme International Comics Festival is taking place January 31-February 3, 2013 in France.
Discotek Media has announced that the company has licensed the Thermae Romae anime.
