Aniplex USA Releasing 1st Two Madoka Magica Films

Aniplex of America has announced that the company will be releasing two different import versions of the first two Puella Magi Madoka Magica films on Blu-ray Disc on July 30, 2013. The films will be available to customers in the United States, Canada, England, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and Central and South America.

Both the Standard Edition and the Collector’s Edition will include both films in one set. Both editions will also include Japanese audio with subtitles in Japanese, English, French, Spanish, Chinese, and Korean. Extras will include a theatrical trailer, a commercial, a clean opening and ending, and audio commentary from the voice cast.

The Standard Edition will include a postcard from Aniplex of America. The Collector’s Edition will include new cover art, a deluxe booklet, an original soundtrack CD, and a digipak. Aniplex of America will also include an English translation of the booklet and a postcard.

The Collector’s Edition will retail for US$129.98 (but will sell at a store price of US$104.98), while the Standard Edition will retail for US$109.98 (but will sell at a store price of US$89.98).

1st Two Madoka Magica Films Screening in Canada

Aniplex of America has announced that the first two Puella Magi Madoka Magica anime films will be screened in select cities throughout Canada on March 14 and 20, 2013.

The first film will be screened on March 14, and the second film will be screened on March 20.

Madoka Magica Films to Screen in Albuquerque

Aniplex of America has announced that the first two Puella Magi Madoka Magica films will be screened at The Guild Cinema theater in Albuquerque, New Mexico on April 19, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. Tickets will go on sale March 1, 2013 at Lobo Anime & Comics and Stranger Factory on site locations. Ticket purchase will not be available online.

In addition, Aniplex of America also announced that there will be an additional screening of the films at San Francisco’s 4 Star Theatre on February 15, 2013 at 7:00 p.m.
