Media Blasters Licenses Yami to Boshi to Hon no Tabibito

Media Blasters has announced that the company has acquired the license for the Yami to Boshi Hon no Tabibito television anime series.

At this time, the company has not specified whether or not there will be an English dub for the series, or on what formats the series will be released on.

Media Blasters Licenses Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams

Media Blasters has announced that the company has acquired the license for the Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams CG-animated film.

The film compiles the CG-animated footage from CAPCOM’s Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams PlayStation 2 videogame, and adds extra animated scenes.

Media Blasters Explains the Company’s Plans

Media Blasters CEO John Sirabella posted at the company’s official website about the state of many of its licenses.

According to the post, Media Blasters no longer holds the licenses for the Bakuman., Rurouni Kenshin, and Berserk television anime series. Sirabella also explained that while the company once had acquired the rights for Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei and Moyashimon, the company has no plans to release them and that “these titles can and may be licensed to another company.” It was also mentioned that many other Media Blasters titles have expired, but nothing else was listed outside of the titles already mention. In addition, it was also stated at the company’s Facebook page that it will not be releasing the Squid Girl Season 2 box set.

Sirabella also stated that its AnimeWorks, Tokyo Shock, and Kitty Media labels are the only Media Blasters labels that will continue to acquire and published titles in 2013. The company will be focusing on its Kitty Media label, with the company releasing at least one Kitty Media title per month in 2013.

Media Blasters Licenses Super Robot Wars

Media Blasters has announced that the comapny has acquired the license for the Super Robot Wars Original Generation – The Animation video anime project and the Super Robot Wars OG: Divine Wars television anime series.

The company is planning to release the two titles separately in July 2013.

Media Blasters Licenses Fight Ippatsu! Juden-chan!!

Media Blasters has announced that the company has licensed the Fight Ippatsu! Juden-chan!! television anime series.

The company has said on its Facebook page that the series may not receive an English dub, and is asking fans to wait for the full details of the release.

Media Blasters Talks About Two of Its Licenses

While answering fan questions at the company’s Facebook page, Media Blasters talked about a couple of the licenses that the company holds.

Media Blasters said that the company has no plans to release more of the Bakuman. television anime series on DVD due to sales. The company speculated that the rights for this series could potentially go to Viz Media, the company that holds the rights for the Bakuman. manga series.

Media Blasters also said that “chances are 50/50″ that the company will release the Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei television anime series.
