Boston Int’l Children’s Film Fest to Screen Anime

The Boston International Children’s Film Festival will be screening the Wolf Children, A Letter to Momo, and Welcome to THE SPACE SHOW anime films. Tickets for all three films are on sale for US$10 each.

Wolf Children will be screened on April 16, 2013 at 12:45 p.m. and on April 17, 2013 at 3:00 p.m.

A Letter to Momo will be screened on April 21, 2013 at 3:30 p.m.

Welcome to THE SPACE SHOW will be screened on April 21, 2013 at 12:45 p.m.

A Letter to Momo Wins APSA Award

Anime News Network is reporting that A Letter to Momo won the Best Animated Feature category at the 6th Asian Pacific Screen Awards in Brisbane, Australia.

A Letter to Momo has already received the Grand Prize for Best Feature Film at this year’s New York International Children’s Film Festival, as well as the main prize in the “Feature Film” category at the Czech AniFest.

GKids Announces Anime Screenings

GKids has announced that it will be screening From Up on Poppy Hill and A Letter to Momo at its animation showcase in southern California.

From Up on Poppy Hill will be screened at the Laemmle NoHo 7 on November 16, 2012 at 7:30 p.m.

A Letter to Momo will be previewed at the Laemmle NoHo 7 on November 17, 2012 at 9:45 p.m.

A Letter to Momo Screening in San Francisco

The San Francisco International Children’s Film Festival is screening the A Letter to Momo anime film on November 10, 2012 at 5:00 p.m.

The festival is being held at the Exploratorium at The Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco from November 9-11, 2012.

Waterloo Festival of Animated Cinema to Screen Anime

The 2012 Waterloo Festival of Animated Cinema will screen the following anime:

  • Wolf Children
  • Asura
  • Blood-C: The Last Dark
  • A Letter to Momo
  • four Anime Mirai 2012 shorts (“Buta,” “Li’l Spider Girl,” “Pretending Not to See,” and “Juju the Weightless Dugong”)

The festival runs from November 15-18, 2012 at the Chrysalids Theatre in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada.
